Sedastart contains medetomidine which is an alpha-2-agonist with analgestic and myorelaxing properties.In dogs and cats is can be administered for sedation to facilitate handling and premedication prior to general anaesthesia.When combined with ketamine it can be administered to cats for general anaesthesia for minor surgical procedures of short duration.
