About this product

Create a more natural and enriching habitat for your terrarium inhabitants with Terrarium Leaf Litter , made from natural jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus) leaves. This litter is designed to mimic the forest floor, offering cover, hiding places, and forage substrate for ground-dwelling creatures like snakes, skinks, salamanders, frogs, and invertebrates. Leaf litter plays a key role in bioactive vivariums. As it slowly decomposes, it enriches the substrate and supports beneficial decomposers such as isopods and springtails—organisms that help break down waste and maintain healthy micro-ecosystems. This product comes in a 30 g pack—ideal for adding a light surface layer or mixing into existing substrate. The jackfruit leaves are non-toxic, untreated, and are safe for many terrarium species. For best results, rinse the leaves before use to remove dust, and replace or refresh periodically as the leaves degrade. If you’re building a bioactive set-up, this leaf litter adds not just aesthetic realism but functionality—improving humidity, offering hiding spots, and contributing to substrate health.
